Message: It's definitely in need of some TLC and updating. Amenities like bathrooms were okay, but pretty beat up. Paved roads are in need of maintenance and campsite pads are falling apart. If you can get over those aesthetics, the location is great and the staff are really nice. Sites are a little pricey too, but I felt safe and met some other cool campers.

Message: Our spot was super TIGHT. We literally filled every bit of room in our spot. Even our awning almost touched the trailer next to us by about 6 inches. But the view made it worth while. Park is nice and quiet at night. It was peaceful to hear the waves of the lake at night. Others complained of broken concrete. I don’t know why. That’s what happens to concrete on sand. Our pad was cracked but still served it’s purpose and helped keep sand out of the trailer. I did dock one star due to the stripped hose bib at the dump station which made us unable to clean our black tank. Also want to add that we tried to add an extra night to our stay. I called for weeks before our trip. The reservation line never answered the phone or returned my messages. We finally got through to someone the day of our trip by calling the security office instead of trying to talk to reservations. They were a lot more helpful.

Message: We have stayed here twice now, and plan on coming back next year. May turn it into an annual tradition. Both times we have stayed it's been the north beach area. Though the sites are tightly spaced together, the view and easy access to the lake/channel more than make up for it. I've found it to be a blend of older retired folks, and younger families staying there. No loud partyers were encountered. Please note, it is an older facility and appears so. Also, the north beach area is right on the water. So if you do not enjoy awesome boats cruising by, perhaps consider an inland site. We didn't use the bathrooms/facilities as we are self contained. But my kids thoroughly enjoyed the HEATED pool! The Pic is from our back patio of our trailer. Thank you for the great time!

Message: This park as a whole has potential to be absolutely beautiful. It's just 'okay'. Have stayed in better for less. Don't expect to use the bathrooms provided here. They have broken things, doors and locks. It's kind of embarrassing. It's an older park and spaces are close. Really hope they do more to make this place beautiful again. That said, the lady at their store was extremely friendly. The store there had necessary items and then some. The park it was very quiet and other campers there are extremely friendly and helpful. The beach area is nice, and beautiful. It's very family and pet friendly which is awesome. Has a walking/bike path around the island which is cool. Over all its okay, not terrible but not great.
